Music unites the 3 Dante cities: Maestro Riccardo Muti is returning to Verona on 15th September.
Riccardo Muti is conducting the Liugi Cherubini Youth Orchestra and the Maggio Musicale Fiorentino Chorus at the extraordinary concert on the occasion of the 7th centenary of Dante’s death.
Maestro Riccardo Muti is returning to Verona for an extraordinary concert in the context of the Dante celebrations.
Things begin on Sunday 12th September with the Ravenna Festival promoted by the Municipality of Ravenna, followed by another performance on 13th September in Florence. The appointment with the third Dante city, Verona, is on 15th September at 8:30 pm at the Teatro Filarmonico, with a concert promoted by the Veneto Region and Verona’s Municipal Department of Culture.
The concert will present the Laudi alla Vergine Maria by Giuseppe Verdi, Liszt’s Dante-Symphonie and the first Italian performance of Tigran Mansurian’s Purgatory, with the participation of Armenian baritone Gurgen Baveyan and Giovanni Sollima (violoncello).
