One of the world’s leading baritones, Ludovic Tézier, makes regular guest appearances at many of the world’s great opera venues: Metropolitan Opera in New York, Staatsoper in Vienna, Opéra National de Paris, Deutsche Oper Berlin, La Scala in Milan, Liceu in Barcelona, Teatro Real Madrid, Grand Théâtre de Genève, Royal Opera House Covent Garden in London, Bayerische Staatsoper in Munich, the Summer and Easter Festival of Salzburg, Bregenz and Glyndebourne, and Chorégies d’Orange – just to name a few.
He has sung under the baton of numerous conductors including Sir John Eliot Gardiner, Myung-Whun Chung, Antonio Pappano, Riccardo Muti , Philippe Jordan and Zubin Mehta.
His repertoire includes the title roles in Hamlet, Macbeth, Eugene Onegin, Don Giovanni, Conte (Le nozze di Figaro) and Werther (baritone version), Renato (Un ballo in maschera), Ford (Falstaff), Yeletsky (The Queen of Spades), Enrico (Lucia di Lammermoor), Germont (La traviata), Chorèbe (Les Troyens), Wolfram (Tannhäuser), Posa (Don Carlo), Don Carlo di Vargas (La forza del destino), Simon Boccanegra, Amfortas (Parsifal), Athanaël (Thaïs).
Among the singer’s highly acclaimed recent performances are his role debut as Jago (Otello) at the Vienna State Opera; Scarpia (Tosca) in Vienna, Paris, at the Semperoper Dresden and at the Salzburg Easer and Summerfestivals; Wolfram von Eschenbach (Tannhäuser), Posa (Don Carlo) and Rigoletto at the Bavarian State Opera in Munich; Don Giovanni at the Vienna State Opera; Conte di Luna (Il trovatore) at the Teatro Real in Madrid; Simon Boccanegra at the Paris Opéra national. Further engagements of the versatile baritone include Marc-Antoine (Cléopâtre) at the Salzburg Festival and the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées in Paris; Don Carlo (La forza del destino) at the Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona and at the Royal Opera House in London; Alphonse XI (La Favorite) at the Bavarian State Opera; Escamillo (Carmen), Giorgio Germont (La traviata), Scarpia (Tosca), Posa (Don Carlo) and Conte di Luna (Il trovatore) in Paris; Enrico (Lucia di Lammermoor) in Munich, Paris and London; Sir Riccardo Forth (I puritani) and Carlo Gérard (Andrea Chénier) at the Opera Australia in Sydney; Don Carlo (Ernani) in Monte Carlo; Amonasro (Aida) in concert version in Rome under Antonio Pappano (recording for Warner Classics); Rigoletto at the Théâtre Capitole in Toulouse; Macbeth in Barcelona; Athanaël (Thaïs) in Monte-Carlo and Amonasro (Aida) in Paris.

In 2015 Warner Classics published AIDA on CD. Carmina Burana (Live from the Forbidden City) was released on DVD by Deutsche Grammophon in early 2019 and in early February 2021 Sony Classical released his already highly acclaimed Verdi album.
